Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) on Friday demanded ban on Awami League (AL) revoking its registration and warned that no election will took place before trial of the party.
NCP also declared that the demand to ban AL is a firm decision, not a mere request.
The leaders of the party made these demands during a protest rally after Jumu’ah prayer at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque south gate on Friday.
While addressing the rally, NCP convener, Nahid Islam, stated, “Being forced to take to streets demanding AL ban is collective failure of citizens and nation.”
He also declared that AL is no longer political party as its turned into fascist organisation. The registration of the party must be revoked, political and organisational activities banned.
He insisted boat symbol must be wiped out from Bangladesh, warning, “If government cannot ensure justice, people’s court will try AL.”
