The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) of Sri Lanka, and Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation across South Asian stock markets, reports UNB.

DSE Chairman Mominul Islam, CSE Chairman Dilshan Wirasekera, and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan Chairman Akif Saeed, along with directors and senior officials from the three exchanges were present during the signing ceremony, according to a DSE press release on Wednesday.

The MoU outlined collaborative efforts in digital transformation, joint development of new financial products and markets, coordinated market supervision and investor protection frameworks, joint human resource development initiatives, and cross-exchange training programs, it said.

DSE Chairman Mominul Islam at the signing spoke about the technical and procedural limitations faced by South Asian stock exchanges, excluding India.

The exchanges will explore long-term opportunities for cross-border listings, broker partnerships, and institutional connectivity, added the release.
