Election Commission (EC) has agreed to the proposal of transferring and posting of 636 police members including inspectors from different parts of the country to make the upcoming 12th parliamentary elections free, fair and impartial.

EC informed the matter to Senior Secretary of Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs in a letter signed by Mizanur Rahman, deputy secretary of EC Secretariat, today.

Of them, a total of 105 police officers and 531 Naiks and police constables have been transferred, said the letter.
